Abby Wasserman

Abby Wasserman is a writer and artist in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is former editor-in-chief of the Oakland Museum of California's quarterly magazine (1992-2004) and former Development Editor of BOOM: A Journal of California (2011-2013). She also facilitates writing groups at O'Hanlon Center for the Arts in Mill Valley, exhibits her art, works on freelance editorial projects, and is working on a novel.

Her publications include Mary Tuthill Lindheim: Art and Inspiration, The Spirit of Oakland, a multicultural history of Oakland, California, Portfolio, essays on 11 Native American artists, Praise, Vilification & Sexual Innuendo, or How to Be a Critic: The Selected Writings of John L. Wasserman, and Tosca's Paris Adventure, a children's book she wrote and illustrated.
